Wikipedia is 15!

Launched in January 2001, the popular web portal that is home to information on just about anything on the face of the earth has grown steadily over the years. In 2007, the site had just 2 million articles, 3 million in 2009, 4 million in 2012 and hit 5 million articles in November 2015. As of today, there are 5,053,647 articles on the internet’s free encyclopedia.

The beauty about Wikipedia is that anyone can edit the pages and add information to them. According to Wikimedia, Wikipedia articles have been edited an astronomical 808,187,367 times since its inception. Of course there is some level of moderation as to who can publish or edit the content. In that case, the most edited pages are either on somewhat controversial topics or those likely to generated heated interest and admiration. In 2015, a  Ramiro Gómez , a software developer from Berlin  created a chart of the most edited pages. Among the articles highlighted by Gomez include George Bush, Jehovah’s Witness and the WWE.

So which are the most edited pages on Wikipedia in the last 15 years?
