Facebook has a total of 936 million people who use the platform daily and this represents nearly a quarter of all Facebook users. The posts surpassed the amount of interaction during the World cup final between Germany and Brazil that previously held the record. The final generated 88 million people generated 280 millionΒ interactions
Still the 2014 World Cup held in Brazil holds the record for the highest number of posts, likes and photos shared on the platform’s history. During the world cup,Β 350 million people joined the conversation on Facebook, generating 3 billion interactions (posts, comments and likes) related to the World Cup for the entire month. Another big winner from the Mother’s day was Pinterest that saw about 260 million posts related to Mother’s Day gift ideas, recipes and plans for Mother’s Day.
