Samsung has already confirmed that it will indeed be launching the Galaxy Note 4 at IFA in Berlin, albeit subtly. The date is 3rd of September and the launch will be live-streamed to two other venues in Beijing and New York.
They did the same last year for the Note 3 but only at Times Square in New York, Beijing gets in on the fun. Last year they launched the Note 3 together with Note 10.1 tablet and the Galaxy Gear. Basically that was the debut venue for wearables by Samsung.
Wearables in the Gear line have gone on to evolve with the Gear 2 unveiled earlier in the year at Mobile World Congress. Now there has been talk of Gear Solo, a smartwatch that is standalone. Basically it will have a SIM slot and function independently, including fetching it’s own GPS and radio signals. This naturally brings about the battery life question. How this will be handled without making the device overly huge.
