Rovio’s latest Angry Birds game and the second version since the first one came out 6 years ago surely got everyone slinging shots on their tiny screens. In just a week, the game has gone on to hit the 20 million download mark. This is after it hit the 10 million mark just the other day.
According to Rovio, the game which has peaked at number one in the Apple App Store in 100 countries, has drawn a lot of engagements from those who have downloaded it.
…in its first week Angry Birds 2’s fans have raised their slingshots more than 1.4 billion times, blasting their way through more than 300 million eye-popping levels and gloriously maxing out the Destruct-O-Meter more than 350 million times over.
The game is particularly gaining a strong following in China, a market that was largely not in the picture when the first version of Angry Birds was released back in 2009 and with China being one of the largest mobile markets in the world, we can’t imagine the sort of download figures we will be quoting in the near future.
