Former HP CEO  Carly Fiorina announced today that she is running for president and will battle it out with Marco Rubio, Rand Paul and Ted Cruz for the Republican nomination.  Seems like Fiorina forgot one important asset before jumping into the bandwagon. Registering her domain CarlyFiorina.org.

Someone grabbed it and the website. The site has a big banner  that reads “Carly Fiorina failed to register this domain. So I’m using it to tell you how many people she laid off at Hewlett-Packard.”  There are 30,000 sad face emoticons followed by a message at the bottom ” That’s 30,000 people she laid off. People with families. And what does she say she would have done differently.” “I would have done them all faster.”-Carly Fiorina. Interestingly, Carly Fiorina is supposedly a tech savvy candidate and why she failed to protect her online assets is unexplained.

Cases of domain trolling are likely to go up after June 1st when internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) releases the .Porn, .Adult and .Sucks domains to the public. Microsoft has already purchased Office.Porn and Office.Adult for $99. Taylor Swift and Richard Branson join a long list of celebrities and personalities who have bought their .Porn and .Adult domains. ICANN expanded the generic top level domains such as .Com, .Net and .Org from 22 to 550 in 2011 with new ones released every month.  The Vatican has also registered Vatican.xxx :-O. It’s a tough world.
