Samsung should be announcing the next phone anytime this week,or this month. We had a reported date of 4th August which then went on to become 13th August, but any of the two can happen. The Galaxy Alpha and the Note 4 are the two devices widely expected to happen from Samsung this year, and this would basically end the year with two flagships. Now, the Galaxy Note is huge and has a huge interest particularly since it is Samsung’s most powerful smartphone of the year and also ends up being the most powerful and productivity driven device all round.
It gets a refresh every year at around September in Berlin and this year is no different. Now the device is expected to be announced just before IFA commences in Berlin and we have a confirmed date. 3rd September, at the same venue as last year, the Tempodrom in Berlin in the afternoon is the time and place to be for the launch of the year. Last year it got beamed live to New York’s Times Square and my assumption is that the same could be repeated.
Galaxy Note 4 is expected to come running the new Benchmarks topping Exynos 5433 or Snapdragon 805 processor, 3Gb of RAM, 16 megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilization, Android 4.4.4 KitKat and a 5.7 inch QHD display. Going by last year too, this could also be a wearables launchpad, you remember Samsung’s first smartwatch made it’s debut there and we could see other new ones.
