The Instagram team is currently rolling out version 6 of its popular photo-sharing application. Worth noting is that the entire update is focused on making sure core Instagram users, the sort who usually want to do more than just apply filters and share, are made to feel at home and well catered for instead of being left to wander to other apps before coming back to Instagram to share. That is often the case and has made other apps like Aviary, PicsPlay and Snapseed quite popular in this regard.
If you use Snapseed like yours truly then you can relate with the below features that Instagram is adding to the app:
- Contrast
- Warmth
- Vignette
- Sharpen
- Saturation
- Highlights
- Shadows
- Filter Strength
- Adjust
- Brightness
The update is already available on the Apple App Store and is rolling out on the Google Play Store depending with the region you’re in so keep checking if you haven’t gotten it yet. The Instagram app for Windows Phone is still in beta so we don’t expect much love at this point in time.
