JKIA had it’s disrupting moment earlier in the month when a fire gutted down the arrivals building and much of the departures section in Africa’s fourth busiest airport. As would be expected of such a situation, a lot of functions went down and there was a disaster management drill that involved redirecting of flights to other airports in the region like Moi International Airport in Mombasa and Eldoret Airport.
LG donated 10 digital signage screens to the Kenya Airports Authority to replace flight information screens that were destroyed in the fire. Moses Marji, LG Marketing General Manager East and Central Africa said this was a stop-gap measure to help JKIA resume normal operations.
“We are glad to that JKIA has resumed operation at about 100 percent and we are glad to work with you to ensure JKIA quality of services and existing services are improved” said Mr. Marji.
