China Mobile is the world’s biggest Telco, and a very important one for OEMs in pushing smartphone sales in the Chinese market.

In a market with 300 million Android users, this is quite the business for the giant telco. China Mobile will be introducing two Android Smartphones, not just branded China Mobile, but with the Telco as the OEM.

The two devices a 5 inch M701 which will be priced at RMB 1,99 ($210) and the 4 inch M601 to sell at RMB 499 ($80) will be built by Hisense and BYD respectively. The larger 5 inch one will have a 1.2Ghz Mediatek quad-core processor, while there is nothing much about the budget phone.

With Apple expected to sell a budget iPhone for such markets as China, having the largest telco in the world decide to sell their own devices, this is a big hit for them and other OEMS like Samsung and Nokia who rely on telcos for the push of numbers.
