Amazon Appstore is set to be available in 200 countries. This follows an international launch in Japan in 2012. Brazil, Australia, Canada and India are some of the countries targetted for the impending expansion. The web giant is encouraging developers to submit their apps to be included in the new locations. Amazon is promising the developers huge in-app payments.

According to Amazon, from over 500 games using Appstore in-app purchasing, those on GameCircle had a revenue of over 83% more than those not in the social gaming system. GameCircle was launched in November 2012 for Kindle Fire tablets. The Appstore is part of Amazon’s strategy to encourage users to spend on its app market.
