Lenovo conducted a media briefing today at the Nairobi Serena hotel. The brief was about their strategy for the Middle East and Africa region while showcasing latest PC+ innovations for businesses and consumers in Kenya and Africa. In a bid to be the consumer’s ultimate technological solutions provider Lenovo made known that the award winning Lenovo Yoga, the Lenovo Thinkpad twist and the Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet 2 would be available in three weeks in Kenya.
These products launched in Kenya are designed to cater to the varied consumer, SMBs and enterprise markets. The PC plus era now consists of the laptops, tablets, Smart phones and Smart TVs and Lenovo is in all the four. Lenovo has 3000 engineers doing research and development to ensure they give the best to the consumers. In addition it has over 900 developers dedicated in applications development for the connected devices in Lenovo range. This has made Lenovo the 3rd biggest player in the world in terms of market share of smart connected devices Lenovo also made it known that they had launched a Lenovo Partner Network program which was tailored to skill-up channel partners and to strengthen relations across MEA. This program in Kenya shall help existing and new partners with an in-depth understanding and tools to boost their association with Lenovo, together with a free online resource.
Lenovo guaranteed of its commitment to cater for the African market by opening a fully fledged office in Kenya which is among the 7 they have opened in the Middle East and Africa region. In addition Lenovo shall also set up three warranty centers in Nairobi.
