Chinese smartphone users willing to pay for premium experience in apps

Mobile appsChina is now the largest smartphones market in the world, surpassing the US which with many states and a huge economy had the title. The irony is that most of the smartphones are manufactured in the far East country. China now has a whopping 250 million smartphone users and a range of between 500,000 to 800,000 mobile apps developers.

China is willing to pay premium to get that better experience in apps as opposed to the largely free apps. Most popular and successful apps are free but there is that desire among many to upgrade to paid if there is an option just to get that superior experience. This is a market that developers should be salivating for since you can develop specifically for China and be quite successfully, particularly on Android.
