Nokia is going further down the food chain with Windows phone 8. Previously there was Lumias 920 and 820 for the global market running Windows 8, this was clearly setting the entry bar high. The lower price levels were restricted to outdated Windows Phone 7.5 Mango device the Lumia 510. These were said to go up-to Windows 7.8 at the furthest, and the update primed to start rolling out in January of 2013.
Nokia has today announced the Lumia 620 to take this entry level business close. Lumia 620 takes on the design of the Lumia 820 with a hint of Lumia 510. Nokia is also a rainbow company, so you would naturally expect them to launch with several colours, this one will sport 7 colours, these being lime green, orange, magenta, yellow, cyan, white and black.
Lumia 620 will don some of the nice things Nokia has for higher end smartphones like Nokia Lenses, Nokia Transport, Smart Shoot, Cinemagraph lens, Nokia Maps and Nokia Music. You realize Nokia Music cannot work on the Lumia 510 as it has quite low memory at 256MB, the Lumia 620 has 512.
