Google could be unveiling a new Nexus hardware alongside the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system in just over a week and while at it.
Jelly bean updates for the Samsung Galaxy S2, Galaxy Note and Note 10.1 are coming out soon. We have in recent times seen Jelly bean updates reaching the S3 in a number of regions and Samsung has decisively stretched its update hand to older devices.
Galaxy S2 will be updated to Jelly bean at some point in November with the tablet and phablet receiving it after the handset. According to Samsung Sweden, the Jelly bean updates will be available over-the-air or via KIES.
For what it is worth, Samsung is all set to release the updates but it is still up to the carriers to issue them.

    • You can flash any of the firmwares from English speaking regions especially Europe and flash via Odin instead of waiting for region specific updates. Always works. It normally takes time for them to avail the upgrades via Kies or OTA in some regions like ours. Furthermore flashing via Odin on higher end devices leaves all your apps and data intact, just upgrades your firmware.

    • Successful completion of these updates on the consumer side extensively relies on the Mobile service providers (carriers). Samsung at such an instance is at the sympathy of each individual carrier to conclude testing of the new version of Android on the GS3 and to further allow the update on the GS3 OS. Probably that explains why the update is still not available in Kenya and other countries like the US of A.
