“Siri” Apple iPhone 4S app which can only be used commercially only in Canada and USA is under hack.
It has been hacked using one of the wonderful modern scripting language called ruby. Ruby has enabled one geek to create a Siri Proxy hence enabling limitless Expansion capabilities to the App. I think that is not only exciting but a progress to the developers, allowing them to program custom handlers for different actions.
The “Siri Proxy” hack allows developers to easily add functionality to Siri making it do cool voice controlled actions not built-in natively by Apple. An excellent Demo is shown on link below where the plug-in allows the developer control his computer and a thermostat. The plugin code is also showcased on Github by the developer.
