BlackBerry App World 3.0 now available on beta

Blackberry seems to be hard at work to up the user experience for loyal Blackberry users. This is evident with the new BlackBerry App World now version 3.0 which looks super-awesome. Coming just days after the launch of 3 new blackberry phones(BlackBerry Torch 9810, BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Torch 9860/9850), this was timely to give users better value and something to look forward to with these devices.BlackBerry App World™ 3.0

The BlackBerry App World™ 3.0 homescreen has been revamped from scratch, with the search app world feature being prominent. Users can sort by App Name, Price, Rating, Newest, Best Match, and Popular. They also promoted Games and themes to the homescreen as they are the most popular categories in the store.

The featured carousel has been expanded for more visibility and ease of getting new apps in the store, to be refreshed monthly on the carousel

(yes, when you’re a BlackBerry App World Product Manager, you get your own Spotlight Banner – Ed.)

And there is some swipe functionality in the store between app summaries, screenshots and user reviews on the same screen. Sharing of apps has also been made easier and you can send to twitter, facebook, mail or to BBM messenger. Users can sign up  here and also check here if your area is covered.
