Techcom T-60 phone is a beautifully styled feature phone that captures your eye whenever you see it. This is one of the 7 phone models launched in Kenya recently by Techcom, an Indian Tech company that produces a wide range of products including computer preipherals.
The T-60 styling is made for music, and the front face has graphics of equalizer bars on the keypad. This phone comes in two colours, (Men are colour blind, so i will just say these are a fine shade of blue and red) but the main board is mainly black.
The Techcom T-60, a Dual sim phone comes with a 2.4 inch(6.1 cm) QVGA LCD screen and for a feature phone i’d say is quite large. The sim card settings allow you to set whether you want both sim cards active or you want to select one of them, or even select flight mode.
The phone has GPRS and WAP browsing and has java capabilities. ALso has a manufacturer set facebook shortcut for facebookers. If you want to optimize your browsing experience you have a choice of browsers you can download and use, this includes opera mini and bolt browser.
The phone’s memory slot takes upto 8 GB memory cards, quite impressive. So you may download as much music as you want for your playlist.
The phone comes bundled up with two java games, Cricket and Flight (I had missed this game for some time), and ofcourse you can download many other games. It also comes with the standard 3.5mm jack and a wonderful ear piece set that soundproofs your environment to make you enjoy music without external interference.
And yes, they phone comes with a led torch, so you wont face those electricity blackouts alone. The phone has a 1.3 megapixel camera with zoom capability. There is also a data cable included in the box an the slot for that. This also functions as a charger if you dont have access to a power extension, you can charge the phone on your computer, or even use the phone as a com port.
