Go places and KCB partners, launch KCB Advantage / Go places Privilege Card

Go Places Privilege Card which is operated by Leisure & Travel Guides E.A. has partnered with KCB in launching the ‘KCB Advantage / Go places Privilege Card’, a value added proposition targeting the local high net-worth banking customers.

The partnership with Go Places Privilege card is part of KCB Advantage Banking accounts mobilization campaign dubbed “Take Advantage”which is now expected to heighten competition in the local exclusive banking segment.

The co-branded KCB Advantage / Go Places Privilege card is important ammunition for KCB as they seek to recruit 6,000 new customers on to KCB Advantage which is the bank’s top tier service proposition.

Speaking during an evening cocktail held to launch the partnership, CEO of Leisure and Travel Mansoor Jiwani, said the new co-branded card is a plus to Go Places preferred partners who now have access to existing KCB Advantage customers.

 

“This partnership is a one of a kind proposition as KCB Advantage Customers will enjoy a wide range of exclusive discounts and special offers with The Go-Places Privilege Card. Over the past 8 years the card has been the most established discount and loyalty card of its kind in the regional market. Today the Go Places privilege card is accepted at over 500 partner establishments within East Africa,” he said.KCB Group Chief Executive Dr. Martin Oduor-Otieno said the partnership would be a key driver of value for Advantage customers.

 

“This co- branded card will be made available to all KCB Advantage Account holders. The access fee of Ksh 2,000 has been waivered. All our existing and new customers will receive their discount cards for free and start enjoying the advantage immediately”, said Oduor-Otieno.

The initiative is a partnership between the KCB Group and the Leisure and Travel Guides E.A. Limited, operators of the Go-Places Privilege Card. Holders of the co-branded card will among others receive preferential services and discounts ranging from five to forty percent.

These will be from selected and exclusive outlets that are within the network of over 500 Go-Places partners within the East African region such as Airlines, Hotels, Lodges, Restaurants, Clothing Stores, Furniture Outlets, Gift Shops, Drycleaners, and Pharmacies etc.

 

Also speaking at the event, Go Places Privilege Card Operations Director Hussein Jiwani said that the KCB Advantage customers can use the discount card 7 days a week all year round and will have the benefit of seasonal special offers such as Valentines, Easter, Christmas holidays etc, alongside free information and booking facilities for restaurants, travel and conferencing.
